March is for the Ladies.
The Mayor's office for Film and Television is an excellent resource for information on production in NYC.
They provide a current list of Features and Television shows being made at the moment.

In accordance with March, the Mayor's office for Film and Television is hosting a lecture series on woman who work in the film industry--
On Wednesday, March 11, in celebration of Women’s History Month, New York City Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting, in conjunction with New York Women in Film and Television, will present “Careers in Entertainment: Women Behind the Scenes” at the Brooklyn Library (Central Library) at 6:30pm. The panel is free and open to the public.
The panel will be comprised of women who work behind the camera on various New York City films and television shows. With representatives from a range of departments – camera, costume, script, lighting, and editing – the panelists will share accounts from their unique work experiences and offer career advice to the audience on how best to break into the City’s production industry.
Commissioner Katherine Oliver will moderate the panel, which will include a Q&A session. Panelists for “Careers in Entertainment: Women Behind the Scenes” include:
JENDRA JARNAGIN – Director of Photography (SPLIT ENDS, OPEN AIR)
ELLEN LUTTER – Costume Designer (PAUL BLART: MALL COP, YOU DON’T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN)
SABINE KRAYENBUEHL – Editor: Film/Video (MAD HOT BALLROOM, PICASSO AND BRAQUE GO TO THE MOVIES)
LINDA HAFTEL TAYLOR – Script Supervisor (“NAKED BROTHERS BAND,” “WHOOPI”)
IRIS NG – Electrician (THE GOOD GUY, ENCHANTED)
“New York City is home to a thriving production industry, employing 100,000 New Yorkers and generating $5 billion to our economy each year,” Katherine Oliver, Commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting said. “Our office is committed to attracting new production business and creating new jobs through the ‘Made in NY’ program. At the same time, we are working to ensure that a diverse group of New Yorkers have access to these positions through programs such as this panel and our ‘Made in NY’ Production Assistant Training Program - a series of free, full-time, month-long training programs developed with Brooklyn Workforce Innovations. We’ve also launched a new PSA campaign thanking New Yorkers for hosting production throughout the five boroughs.” For more information about these programs, visit http://www.nyc.gov/film.
The panel begins at 6:30pm on Wednesday, March 11. Doors open at 6pm. Seating is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. RSVPs are now closed. The Launch
After 5 successful years of blogging at bikeblognyc.com I'm launching a new blog: Crewnyc.
Could be the acronym: C.creative R.resource for the E. Entertainment W. World. Hopefully I don't have to explain the NYC part.
